Clearing of cylindrical apertures in the field of short acoustic pulses

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 10 ¹ 1, (2007) p.30-38
The study is devoted to the problem of clearing the machine parts from the consumption asphalt-resin pollutants. The direct-flow hydrodynamic radiators of short exponential pulses, with spectra containing a series of harmonics, were used. The near fields of such sound sources have been investigated. The dependences for the nonlinear damping of the level and intensity of the acoustic pulses were obtained. The results of experimental researches on clearing the through and blind cylindrical apertures from the model pollutants using hydrodynamic radiators have been carried out. The correlation between the specific absorbed power and clearing efficiency has been shown. Clearing technologies with the use of axisymmetric hydrodynamic and magnetostrictive transducers were compared.
