A model of interaction of cardiovascular and respiratory systems

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 9 ¹ 3, (2006) p.16-26
A model of interaction of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems is proposed, that provides the qualitative explanation of occurrence of the 0.1 Hz peak in the spectra of phase and amplitude modulations of the respiratory oscillations, synchronization of the respiratory and heart rhythmic and other phenomena. Besides the purely theoretical importance, this approach allows a modeling of behavior of the investigated patients' organisms. One of the promising aspects for implementing the developed theory might be revealing the optimal regimes for administering certain medicines.
