A sonocapillary method for determining sound velocity in a cavitating liquid

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 8 ¹ 4, (2005) p.51-58
The peculiarities of the sonocapillary effect assumed as a basis for the method for measuring the sound velocity in a cavitating liquid are discussed. The substantiated sonocapillary method is used for determining the sound velocity in the distilled water with cavitation process. The obtained result is compared with known data for vapor-liquid medium in a stationary case and under phase transition.
