Excitation of the Rayleigh waves in a metal strip polarized by magnetostatic field

A physically justified approach to developing the mathematical models of the process of ultrasonic wave excitation by electromagnetic field in metals polarized by magnetostatic field is proposed. Productivity and practical significance of this approach is demonstrated on the example of simulating the frequency characteristics of electromagnetic transducers under the condition of surface Rayleigh wave excitation. It is demonstrated that mathematical models of ultrasonic transducers, designed on the basis of the offered method, take into account geometrical parameters of the basic transducer, material constants of the metal and features of propagation of ultrasonic waves in elastic bodies.
