A near field of an axisymmetric hydrodynamic projector

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 7 ¹ 4, (2004) p.48-51
The intensity reduction of exponentially-shaped pressure pulses, propagating in a dissipative medium with an absorption coefficient proportional to a square of frequency, is considered. The results are compared with those of experimental studies of acoustic fields generated by axially symmetric hydrodynamic sources under hydrostatic overpressure in a working vessel.
