Power characteristics of the uniflow hydrodynamic sound source under the conditions of hydrostatic pressure

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 7 ¹ 1, (2004) p.44-49
A toroidal secondary cavitational domain occurring at operation of the uniflow hydrodynamic sound source with a circular nozzle and stepwise barrier is studied. By erosional destruction of the model contamination the geometrical parameters of the secondary vortex are determined. After the acoustic signal parameters the field intensity in the vicinity of sound production zone is calculated. The elastic wave intensity and the specific power per period of oscillations are presented as the functions of static overpressure in the fluid.
