Self-induced vibrations of an elastic immersed axisymmetric jet-shell

A model of axially symmetric hydrodynamic acoustic emitters of the direct-flow (with circular nozzle and stepwise obstacle) and the counter-flow designs is considered. Basic frequency of the acoustic signal is calculated as a function of properties of a working fluid, geometric and hydrodynamic parameters of the jet. The numerical data are compared with the experimental results. The criterion of conformity of the model with real emitters of the considered types is derived.
