Rank respirosonograms of the breath sounds

The algorithms of the data visualization are offered on the basis of the information on ranks of levels of the sample power spectral density (PSD), obtained for short time intervals of input realization. Levels of ranks are coded by color and displayed on a plane in the time-frequency coordinate system. Such form of data presentation is named as the rank respirosonogram. Its advantage, in comparison with conventional respirosonograms is a reduction of sensitivity to range of change of absolute PSD levels of the breath sounds in an informative frequency domain. This property provides more reliable allocation of weak breath sounds. Moreover, the rank representation of PSD levels allows to discriminate the additional breath sounds distinguished by the velocity of change of the levels with frequency. And at last, the rank form is convenient for comparison of respirosonograms having different ranges of change of the levels of the sample PSD in the informative frequency domain.
