Cavitational regime of sonocapillary effect

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 6 ¹ 1, (2003) p.48-59
Peculiarities of the sonocapillary liquid flow are investigated. The processes under the capillary cannel were registered by means of high-speed photography. It is shown that the cavitation under the capillary channel manifests itself as a collective processes and the translation of cluster of the cavities into the capillary channel is more probable reason of sonocapillary liquid flow, than the dynamics of closure of every cavity. It is shown that localized cavitation concentrates the acoustical energy, and directed translation of cluster of the cavities provides transformation of this energy into one of the capillary liquid flow.
