Sound field in an inhomogeneous hydroacoustical waveguide with stepwise bottom

For the model of waveguide with a rigid stepwise bottom the asymptotic behavior of unknown variables in the infinite system of linear equations, yielding the weighting coefficients in the Fourier decomposition of an acoustic potential, is studied. Knowledge of asymptotics of the variables allowed to use the method of enhanced reduction when determining the coefficients for the normal modes. Numerical investigation of the sound fields is carried out varying the parameters of the problem.
