Sound radiation by grating formed by coaxial cylindric piezoceramic shells with the end screens. Part III. Analysis of numerical results: far field

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 5 ¹ 1, (2002) p.37-41
A far sound radiation field by grating, formed by coaxial cylindrical piezoceramic shells with end screens is investigated. As the initial ones, the calculation relations obtained in the work [1] were used. Directivity patterns of gratings with diverse properties of screens' surfaces are numerically estimeted. It is shown, that the most effective screens are those completely consisted of acoustically soft surfaces. The fact of lowering of level of lateral sound field because of augmenting the length of the end screens' conic surface is established. Filling of the internal volume of the grating by water is shown not to bring any qualitative change of directed properties of radiating system. Satisfactory coincidence of results of calculations with the experimental data, obtained on model of an acoustical emitter, is shown.
