Determining the structural unit soundproofing properties on the basis of general wave propagation theory for multilayered media

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 1 ¹ 3, (1998) p.45-53
For calculation of sound-proofing and other acoustic characteristics of plane construction elements, necessary relations obtained from solving of coupled problem of acoustoelasticity for layered media are presented. These relations form the basis of the developed technique implemented in form of the algorithms and computing programs. Its efficiency is illustrated by examples of calculated characteristics of particular layered walls. The reliability of the results is approved by comparing them with the experimental data (partially, obtained by the authors). The example of synthesized layered wall providing the desired sound proofing level is offered.
